He's had had injuries before, one where he lost his job in San Francisco, when he played through against the Cowboys in SF, and of course last year. So if his physical difference and that physically changes things mentally, maybe. But I don't think it is for lack of confidence. I don't think the drafting of Mahomes could help him with confidence, but I don't think he's going to change his demeanor or leadership for that. He knows that this is his year and he's always known that he could lose it in a moment. He might take more risks this year for it if he thinks the threat is eminent and it could pay off or it could spiral. And no, I don't believe any other motivation in previous years would have pushed him to do so. I think he would always play smart.
