His core injury will knock him out for at least the first six weeks, though he is expected to return this season. Terrance Mitchell should replace Nelson on the right side with Phillip Gaines working at slot corner. With Marcus Peters glued to the left side, expect opposing offenses to attack Mitchell. DieHard 2,061 Posted September 4, 2017 Share Posted September 4, 2017 I have been scratching my in this. Both with what the injury is and what we do now. Gaines has physical tools. His awareness is really bad. His ability to stay healthy is not much better. I think I would give Gaines a shot on a short leash, then go to Acker if Gaines gets toasted.
