Iceman57 12 Posted September 23, 2017 Share Posted September 23, 2017 I was shocked when Ross Travis was held onto and Gavin Escobar was cut. Escobar is the more talented of the two, but I'm assuming Travis just knew the system far better than Escobar did, and just went with the TE that was more familiar with the system. On a sidenote, Jace Amaro was once a top prospect at TE, and showed great promise. It's very possible that it's more of the New York Jets terrible organization which held Amaro back. Atleast if the Chiefs sign him, this is my hope. I think the Chiefs with 2 good TE's would strengthen the offense even more. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Wasn't he the one that hung in there and caught that dart from Mahomes in the preseason? I thought for sure Escobar was a lock for the roster. I also thought Spiller was as well but what do I know?
