SEMO 6,811
They seem to have been an issue during the Reid years. This year seems excessive, though. Not sure how they clean it up.

sith13 1,746
We might benefit from losing a game during the regular season from penalties. May be then the team will be aware of the issue, otherwise it could hurt us big in the playoffs.
xen 1,010,220
Meh. Wake me when it costs us a playoff game. I'll take this record and the penalties.
Mloe68 1,521
I think we really miss Berrys leadership in this regard. Hopefully as he progresses in his rehab he can be a more usable presence on the sidelines. He means that much for this team.

reesebobby 5,663
Curious how many penalties are actually penalties and how many are refs being anal? I thought there were some phantom calls yesterday. In particular I thought Fisher got a holding call that was pretty difficult to see. Especially when you see Hali for years almost get tackled by the neck.

qnet 1,150
The false starts is what I don't understand. That's happened a lot since Reid has coached in KC. It even happens at home. There seems to be something constantly wrong with the way that they are preparing in that area.

Andy has been here 4 years. During that time we have been 5th, 9th 15th and 19th in penalties per game, and we have never been worse than 11th in penalty yards per game. The other 3 years we were top ten in least penalty yards per game. I think it just seems worse than it is to us because we are Chiefs fans. dksww 484
The referees were bad across the league yesterday. Was not a banner day for officials. Is is probably worse because I'm a fan, but the Chiefs are no stranger to getting flagged more often than normal. Playing on the road is also a factor. Just clean up the PF and false starts while working on fundamentals to get less holding calls going forward is all you can do as a team. It is frustrating to watch our DL and pass rushers week in and week out get held w/o calls.

I remember hearing over and over again that QBs are rated on wins and losses.

Net passing yards is a reflection of the team not the QB. Don't worry Alex is playing well this year so far.
