Iceman57 12 Posted October 19, 2017 Share Posted October 19, 2017 This is just purely for fun and am completely fine with Patrick Mahomes as the 1st Draft Pick. But just for the heck of it, had the Chiefs stood pat and picked at #27, and went with who the Bills took with the pick, being TreDavious White, it'd be crazy to think how much better the Chiefs' defense would be with White covering Terrence Mitchell's role, which in turn would slide Mitchell to Phillip Gaines role. Just keeping Gaines off of the field in itself is almost worth such a drafting scenario. With that being said, White is no only one of the best rookie CBs, but PFF has consistently been grading him out amongst the best CBs in the NFL. Again, I like Mahomes, and understand that both John Dorsey and Brett Veach were extremely high on him, but in 1 to 2 years, the Chiefs will need a good QB to slide right in after Alex Smith. By then, Tyreek Hill, Marcus Peters, Chris Jones, Kareem Hunt, Mitch Morse and many others will be hitting their prime. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
