The shortest distance between two points is a straight line. If you run a simple dive you have three chances to get three yards. Simplicity can be effective but Reid can’t do simple. The Option pass is another matter, but asking him to try and do basic runs against Denver early in the game, when they're stoning it, is foolish. Hunt does his best work late, when teams are tired.
