Legend of AC 269
I still like Nelson. I would allow Ragland time to develop...add Houston, Jones and Parker. The rest?.. eh! This is about right. I’d ditch the rest of them too.

Biggjliv4 1,292
I think there's talent and something cam be salvaged, it just seems we have transformed into a read and react defense instead of one that attacks. Sutton has de-balled us, he has to go. And we need youth in the LB's, a 2CB, and Houston ti beat the piss out of Peters after every game until he man's up again
BringBackRoaf 5
I should have been a reporter, I would grill Reid with the toughest questions and give him the dirtiest scowl while asking them.
wilkie 1,518
I think on defense it starts upfront on our front 3.
Palangi 788
Things I'd like to see done on defense. First of a new DC. I'd like to see us go back to an even front a 4-3. We are in a sub package most of the time any way so why not even front DL top play in it, and fit it. DL- guys like Nunez-Roches and Logan fit this better. Chris Jones would be much better too. Hey to a gap penetration defense. I think Bailey would be even better too. Justin Houston at 6'3" 267 is plenty big enough to play DE. Plus he is very good in the run game. This forces or coordinator to keep him pass rushing too. Now comes Kpass in a more comfortable strong side DE role. Dee Ford can now bee used as a pass rush specialist and stay fresh to get after the QB. I'd like to see a draft pick or free agent pick up here too DE- Houston, draft/FA DT- Jones, RNR NT- Logan, Bailey, Miller DE- Kpass, Ford, Dadi LB- Ragland would be real nice with big guys in front of him eating blocks. Ran in makes a nice back up too. Eligwe takes the weak side backer. His length and athleticism would flourish in a 4-3. He can also stay out there in or sub package with another athletic LB. Terence smith makes a nice backup with similar skills to eligwe. These two would be nice in the sub package. Pierre-Louis would play the strong side and Zombo can back him up. SLB- Pierre-Louis, Zombo MLB- Ragland, Wilson WLB- eligwe, Smith DB- we definitely need a corner opposite Peters. We also need Peters to step back up and stop thinking he has made it. I like Mitchell better than Acker. Steve nelson is a good slot guy. Let him continue to develop. I also like the Lampkin kids who got hurt. As a 4th corner. But definitely a draft pick or FA needs to be added here. CB- Peters, Acker, Lampkin NB- nelson, fa/draft CB- draft/FA, Mitchell SS- Berry, Murray, Sorenson FS- Parker, draft/ FA
moons314 2,463
Dorsey is to blame for ignoring ILB position and resigning Sorensen to a big extension. . But you want to get rid of Parker, Nelson and Peters? That's absurd.I’m good with keeping Nelson. Someone added that earlier and I agreed. Completely forgot about Parker and that’s my bad. I absolutely want to trade peters. No question in my mind a high draft pick does more for this franchise down the road than peters.

Overall I agree with assessment we need an infusion of youth and speed on defense. I'd focus our draft on just that.
mex 65,583
It's not scheme, it's lack of talent. They are shit on that side of the ball. Gawd awful contracts awarded to that bunch of miscreants. QB money to a one-year wonder. Highest paid safety in history kickin' it at home, collecting paychecks. This team is soft as fuck. Gimmicky, finesse-offense, and a bunch of broke-dick, old players on defense. And the young guys don't want to hit. I waited a few minutes before I hit the "post" button, but I couldn't find any reason to change my mind. not to pile on, but our receiving corps looked like they practice their candy-ass touchdown dances more than they practice running their routes
KCSLC2008 606
Yeah a little ball awareness would have been nice on that TD where Prescott ran it in. Most of the defenders had their back to the ball and that's why no one was anywhere near him after he escaped Bailey. Now is that the defenders just not being coached correctly or simply undisciplined play? I was upset that nobody was on that side of the field at all when he went around that way. I don't know enough about defense and so I felt like I was being a backseat driver. Not as bad as my mom trying to talk football, but not exactly an expert. But no one was there; he should have had to dive for the pylon or something.

dksww 484
If Andy wont get rid of Sutton then what? Our new GM is an Andy Disciple. Is it Clarke Hunt who makes the call to fire our D. coordinator? Reid hired him so..... The fired John Dorsey to keep Reid, I'm sure a lowly Defensive Coordinator who isn't producing results isn't safe.

Palangi 788
Going 4-3...Ragland won't fit the scheme. That is the reason Buffalo traded him. Buffalo is trading everyone. As a MLB in a 4-3 Ragland would be a good thumper. And we are in our sub package most of the time anyway. It would work.
