I wouldn't count on any signing at this point having that type of impact but our pass rush is pretty pathetic at this point and we will have to use more blitzing to get any help there either way. Dee Ford and Tamba Hali are just killing us this season with their lack of production.

I don't expect Revis to has any impact on the number of times we rush the QB and such but good coverage could take away up to a second from a QB giving the pass rush more time to make a play.

Just by name alone (if he turns out to be competent makes it even better) Revis across from Peters can add that split second of doubt to QB's like Lynch and possibly Moore and Carr. That extra time (doubt) makes a world of difference in the pass rush alone, not to mention where the final decision is to throw the ball (checkdown). Now Rivers is too accomplished to worry with a name but if it causes him to check the ball down an extra time or two that only helps us as well. So technically, the pass rush could benefit even with a moderate impact from Revis. Every second counts. We all know this.
