How much of our Tackling and passrush problems cured by new Def. coordinator?

Recommended Posts

Houston is done as an elite pass rusher, except sporadically.  He can still be an effective 3-4 OLB but we badly need an elite pass rusher opposite him.

Peters is a soft player.   He's a good turnover guy, but he isn't a gritty player, and doubt he becomes one.  Chris Jones has had a bad sophomore year.   Hard to know why.   Noches is their most passionate player and a keeper.

not this year and not by this coaching staff

Widow is closed. Defense a complete tear down. Dont see a single player above average . Would not resign any injured players. Peters had character issues prior to the draft and that is who he is,.

GAME OVER on that side of the ball......thanks Dorsey lots of trash draft picks.

Next season another down year as PM learns. Maybe 2019 back to winning seasons.

If like to get DC with fire and passion. Our coaches are too emotionless. Get a coach that isn't afraid to get into someone's ass

I agree with this 1000%. Things go south and Sutton is on the sidelines with a deer in the headlights look.

Houston and Berry are locks for next year, if for no other reason than their contracts.   Both are good players though.

Peters and Jones are also locks.   Both are young and while Jones has had a horrible year and Peters has emotional concerns both are young ascending players.

Ragland and KPL are both good players who seem to be slowly developing.

KPass, RNR and Dadi Nicholas are both cheap upside players as well.

I think we cut Hali, DJ, Bailey, Parker, Logan, Mitchell, Gaines.

Since Houston is just basically an overall good OLB why don't we put him on the Right side and slide Ford to the Left side where he did his best work last year?

Lots of questions with no answers other than we have to do better and then watching this team ram that square peg in the round hole yet again.
