dhitter 1,424
Their SB win totals are identical, as is their unwillingness to adapt under adverse circumstances. Yep...you can win all the regular season games in the world but if you crap the bed in the playoffs you really aren't much better than the Browns...except they get higher draft picks. This fanbase is starving. Starving for at least a shot at a Super Bowl. So far Andy has not delivered.
dhitter 1,424
A last place schedule does what? Changes two games the following season. No matter what, the Chiefs will play six divisional games, four against a pre-determined NFC division, four against a pre-determined AFC division, and two depending on how they place this year. Not worth losing for. Bingo!!

When he had a good QB, they won playoff games with regularity, won an NFC Title and were 4 points from winning a Super Bowl. It's why he drafted Mahomes. Who's definitely the most talented QB he's ever had. We will see.
dhitter 1,424
Biggest difference is Andy recognizes need to try and be great at QB and was willing to sacrifice to do it. Otherwise not a lot separate them. Good coaches who's QBs largely kept them from being great st least while in KC Regardless of the "reasons" either coach has failed in KC...the fact is that they have failed. Every coach's goal is to win it all...every year. Now realistically you cannot win the SB every year. But any decent coach worth his salt should be able to assemble a team and get his team a shot now and then. Otherwise what is the point? To rack up the 4th, 5th, 6th most regular season wins in NFL history? Fans are hungry for more than an 11-5 record and then crapping the bed in the playoffs. In 4 years he has 1 playoff win with the Chiefs and blast me all you want I still put an asterisk beside it because Hoyer is quite frankly one of the worst QBs in the NFL as a starter or a backup. He basically gift wrapped a win to the Chiefs. 2 years ago the Eagles were 28th in scoring defense. Now they are 3rd. You don't have to have this long drawn out process to turn things around if you have smart people pulling the strings. I'm beginning to question whether KC does have smart enough people. Haven't been able to solve the mystery for nearly 50 years.
