Referees get criticized for controversial calls in Titans-Chiefs playoff opener

Recommended Posts

Sutton has to go. I'm so tired of seeing him with that deer in the headlights look when things go wrong. This team needs a serious infusion of testicular fortitude. They,re soft and need someone like Rex Ryan to come in and instill a nasty attitude. Another TE sure wouldn't hurt, either. After Kelce they have crap.

I wouldn't be opposed to the idea. Sutton = Soft.

Hunt ran the ball 11 times for 46 yards. That's the only stat you need, to know what happened. 18 point lead and you quit running the ball. C'mon MAN!!!!!

Happened in Indi only because Charles and David went out. Left with Cyrus Gray. Pretty sure Hunt was healthy.

Some very bad calls. Not sure it was a conspiracy to get the Titans a win. I think it was just lemon by the refs. Game changing. We should have been so far ahead that it didn’t matter. The loss is on us. We had no business moving on in the playoffs with that second half melt down.

Remember the year Missouri Tiger fans used the excuse the refs cost them the game against Colorado on the last play of the game, because the refs gave Colorado a 5th down. :o

Right, refs have 0 affect on the game lol

people, the fact that the head referee retired within 24 hours of the game's end is enough to know it was a complete joke.

Now the NFL is trying to get information out there that Triplette had announced his retirement after this season earlier this year.

It's still a joke they let him ref that game even if true, which it is not.

only 4 times in the entire second half......shameful

And one of the times that the Chiefs ran was on the last drive on first down where he got 1 yard. The next play Hill dropped the ball. All of a sudden it's 3rd and 9. We didn't get the next two attempts and third and four is a different play then 3rd and 9 even though that's not an incredible distance to get.

He hadn't reffed a playoff game since 2013, this was a retirement farewell for him from the NFL which he F-ed up.  They thought we would blow them out and he couldn't even mess this up but yet he did.

If it was a fumble the Chiefs would have the ball and the Titans would not have 3 points for a FG, the Chiefs would have won by 2 points, so lets just concentrate on the facts. ;)

No the game would of gone to overtime.  Titans would of not gone for 2 twice.  just saying

Love the baldy breakdowns.. there were definitely more than a handful of just horrible calls, but as the other plays he reviewed shows there was plenty of blame to go around. Everyone had a hand in that loss.

40 yard line compared to 41 on the other side. That's 19 yards! It would have been a 42 yard field goal (assuming we still get 9 yards on the pass to Harris and 5 for neutral zone infraction).

How did 1:05 pass between Hunt's 1 yard run and the next snap? The play clock isn't that long. I mean, we were trying to burn clock to prevent them from having enough time to get a game winning FG, but time would have been helpful.
