There is literally no reason the non-playoff teams need a new HC announced before the Super Bowl. the Chiefs and Nagy knew he was going to be the HC of CHI going into the game. what a disaster. I would assume once the decision is made they would want to act on it asap to allow themselves a better crop of coaches to choose from as well as give the guy they are firing a fighting chance of catching on elsewhere. Not sure if Reid's history can tell us anything, or if there are league rules on end of season firings as it pertains to calendar dates er whatnot.
