They were at least at -8 in turnover margin for the year and still won the Super Bowl. It was one of the most "fortunate" super bowl runs of all time. You know, the fluky ones where a team's defense carries them all they way? They only happen like once ever 15 years or so -4 You are missing the point in that when one side of the ball is so much stronger than the other, the coaching aspect comes into play even more. Not when the one side is so strong it can overcome the failures of the other side which is the case for the Denver D that year.
