KC Warpaint 3,238
Justin Houston listed at #1 & DJ at #11 http://ftw.usatoday.com/2018/02/nfl-offseason-2018-cap-casualties-salary-cap-free-agency-richard-sherman-seahawks-cowboys-steelers

Iluvhouse24 1,808
Cap savings by cutting Houston would be 7.9 million this year. No idea where this guy came up with this figure.

Mloe68 1,521
Pro Football Talk is reporting that OLB Justin Houston won’t get cut by the #Chiefs. Shocker!
DieHard 2,061
Why would we? Trying to improve the D and we cut one of our top 3 defensive players. Makes no sense. I would like to see the others get cut... but they won’t.
Biggjliv4 1,292
Wilkerson could be worth a 1 year prove it deal. May be desperate to play a solid year to get paid again...I'd by no means pay him a dime more after the year because you know he will quit again. At 28 this is his last contract to get paid big if he is released. I'd work in plenty of incentives, but if he comes available he is the top name on the list I would pursue. He has history with Sutton. I can see this happening.

Jets put it out there that the work ethic has not been what it was. he's also been late and missed meetings, suspended a game due to that. Stats have taken a big tumble as well. I'd be shocked if he scores a big contract and doesn't have to play on a prove it deal.

I dont think he will get a contract anywhere close to what he was on there. But I can still see someone goin 3/15 or something like that. All it takes is one team. And when hes motivated he has that rare ability for an interior defender to have a big affect against the run and the pass. Obviously I think Richardson would be who we pursue first, but I have a hard time believing the Seahawks traded a second rounder for him only to let him walk. Dablueguy 0
I'd be interested in Honey Badger off that list. And possibly Cobb. Doubt Honey Badger will be going anywhere, and Houston isn't being cut.
sith13 1,746
Does the media think Chiefs are in full rebuild mode or something? Houston is one of the best OLBs in the NFL and still in his prime. He's not going anywhere.

xen 1,010,220
One thing to think about... wilkerson was cut, richardson is a FA. Wilkerson won't count in the compensatory formula whereas richardson will. Still rather have richardson.
