2018 NFL Draft

1 – Cleveland – Sam Darnold QB USC

Best all around play making QB in the draft.

2 – NY Giants – Josh Rosen QB UCLA

Giants take Eli’s successor.

3 – Tampa Bay (from Indianapolis) – Bradley Chubb DE NC State

Tampa trades a 2018 1st, 2nd round pick and a 2019 3rd round pick for the best pass rusher in the draft. An area where they had zero effect last season.

4 – Cleveland – Saquon Barkley RB Penn State

Dorsey grabs the BPA.

5 – Denver – Roquan Smith ILB Georgia

This pick assumes that Denver signs Cousins. They make an aggressive move for the missing piece in the middle of their defense.

6 – NY Jets – Josh Allen QB Wyoming

McCown is a free agent and Hackenberg will never be more than a backup.

7 – Indianapolis (from Tampa Bay) – Quenton Nelson OG Notre Dame

Indy needs help everywhere on the oline.

8 – Chicago – Calvin Ridley WR Alabama

Nagy gets a weapon for Trubisky.

9 – San Francisco – Denzel Ward CB Ohio State

The 9ers get help for their secondary.

10 – Oakland – Connor Williams OT Texas

Penn is about done.

11 – Green Bay (from Miami) – Minkah Fitzpatrick S Alabama

Burnett is a free agent. Minkah falls and the Pack use a 2018 3rd round pick to make a move for a major upgrade.

12 – Cincinnati – Orlando Brown OT Oklahoma

Brown’s nastiness will fit right in for the Bengals.

13 – Washington – Vita Vea DT Washington

The Skins needs help on the interior dline.

14 – Miami (from Green Bay) – Tremaine Edmunds LB Virginia Tech

Edmunds will add all-pro potential to a subpar linebacking core.

15 – Arizona – Baker Mayfield QB Oklahoma

Palmer has retired.

16 – Baltimore – Mike McGlinchey OT Notre Dame

Their new RT.

17 – LA Chargers – Da’Ron Payne DT Alabama

Interior line upgrade.

18 – Seattle – Marcus Davenport EDGE Texas-San Antonio

Davenport injects some youth into an aging pass rush.

19 – Dallas – Courtland Sutton WR SMU

Will Dez hang around? Sutton could be his replacement.

20 – DetroitMaurice Hurst DT Michigan

Hurst gives them the interior pass rush that they lack.

21 – Buffalo – Lamar Jackson QB Louisville

A better version of Tyrod Taylor

22 – Buffalo – Billy Price C Ohio State

Wood has retired. They need a replacement.

23 – LA Rams – Josh Jackson CB Iowa

Johnson could be re-signed. They still need another corner.

24 – Carolina – Derwin James S Florida State

Upgrade for the aging safety core.

25 – Tennessee – Isaiah Oliver CB Colorado

The Titans use a round one pick for the second year in a row to shore up the secondary.

26 – Atlanta – Harrison Phillips DT Stanford

Poe will not be re-signed. Phillips will be an upgrade anyway.

27 – New Orleans – Rashaan Evans LB Alabama

Versatile linebacker to pair with Anzalone.

28 – Pittsburgh – Ronnie Harrison S Alabama

Not a lot of weaknesses on Pitt’s D, but safety could be improved.

29 – Indianapolis (from Jacksonville) – Harold Landry EDGE Boston College

Indy trades 2018 2nd and 4th round picks to move up for a pass rusher.

30 – Minnesota – Mike Hughes CB Central Florida

Lots of free agents in the Viking secondary. Hughes will fill one of the spots.

31 – New England – Sam Hubbard DE Ohio State

Lunch pail type of player that the Pats love.

32 – Philadelphia – Jamarco Jones OT Ohio State

Eventual replacement for Jason Peters.

I’ve been hearing Lamar Jackson going in the 3rd.

I can’t see Taylor being their QB moving forward. Barring a trade for someone like Foles, I think that they go QB early. It’s even possible that they trade up in front of Arizona, at least, for Mayfield. But, for now, Jackson fits with what they do. And, QBs always go higher than they should.

Good points. I was shocked. I heard polian and others say he’s a 3rd.

No chance.  Way too much talent to fall far; Polian is an old timer that no longer makes any sense.

Lamar is a late first at worst, and there will be teams that regret passing on him.

I think they will go after Foles.  The plan seemed to be trade down in '17 so they could shop for a QB in '18 with a GM they wanted, but unfortunate for them they won too many games and so did KC.

I agree with you. I was just hearing some poor takes on him..

You would think, but it was just post after post of

"I wouldn't spend anything higher than a 2 on Patrick Mahomes"

That's the truth right there.

But qb's not at the very top are undervalued by fans and i don't know why, as teams are exactly the opposite and it plays out that way every frickin year.
