Balto 723
Step 1). Clean up a few contracts like Tamba and such. Even keeping Ford we would be sitting at about $35M in cap room(not sure if this includes the $10M that cap is raising). Step 2). Trade this years 2nd, next years 2nd and Bailey to Maimi for Landry and Suh. Phins at $8M+ over cap and are looking to trade Landry and are also on the hook for $26.1M in cap space for Suh. They would save $17M if traded! There are talks of Miami actually thinking of straight out releasing him. It’s all about money because he has played very well and was even a top 5 Dline rated by PFF. Costs: Landry-$12M year avg but he is young and could offer signing bonus to reduce cap hit to say $8M year. Suh-2018 $17M, 2019 $19M, 2020 $18.4M, with the idea that he can be cut/traded at anytime with minimum cap hit. Would probably make more sense to restructure. Total: $25M for the best Dline in the game + the best slot/possession receiver in the game. Veach would still be sitting at $10M in cap(maybe $20M if the $10M increase hasn’t been added) to grab a corner and other needs. Balto 723
Ugh. 2 overrated overpaid guys. Nah. Overrated? How so Overpaid? Yes I agree Suh is making way to much as a Dolphin BUT if traded his signing bonus stays in Miami and then his contract becomes reasonable for what a team will be getting.
