PAChiefsFan79 136
So I read the article posted today on Arrowhead Pride with regards to Dylan Cantrell. Long story short...he played high school ball with Mahomes and played College ball with Mahomes. He also trained with him throughout the offseason. His SPARQ is high and under the Reid era the Chiefs seem to like these types of players https://www.arrowheadpride.com/2018/4/24/17277222/sparq-notes-the-pat-mahomes-connection After reading that article/blog I went to another one regarding stat projections for WR and TE. In that article/blog, despite being projected as a 5-6 round pick, his efficiency numbers were the 11th best. https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2018/4/24/17262172/2018-nfl-draft-wide-receiver-tight-end-projections-stats Thought it was interesting and makes me wonder if he could be a player that the Chiefs draft late in the draft. Side note, it would be one hell of a cool story for 2 players to be on the same team from HS all they way into the NFL.
Chiefswinitall 60
Lower rounds? Maybe. We have so many needs.
ClarksvilleChief 193
Sounds like a Madden 2018 story...lol
PAChiefsFan79 136
Sounds like a Madden 2018 story...lol It does, but how often do HS players go on to play together in College? Just thought it was interesting. And then when adding context from Reid era Chiefs drafting history they tend to like high SPARQ players.
sith13 1,746
Makes sense to invest in a guy your QB is familiar with in later rounds. Doesn't need to adjust to the QB so could contribute sooner than most late picks.
xen 1,010,220
Rather have Keke Coutee if we go that route. Much more polished and can return kicks.
