Balto 723
Do you guys think Dorsey might go the Alex Smith route? #1: Barkley, RB #4: Chubb, DE Send #33+4th rounder to Philly for Foles. Build team around D and run game and let Foles be your guy for the next 4-5 years and then find your future QB? Seems like the path Dorsey and Reid took when they came to KC Thoughts? xen 1,010,219
I don't understand this. Why would they do that when they already picked up a short term qb?
Biggjliv4 1,292
Nope, you don't walk in as the new GM with the 1st and 4th pick and pass on a QBOTF if you want to keep your job, especially with the number of QB that go in the first 5 to 7 picks. If it was anybody besides Dorsey, then this scenario would be possible because Browns however.
liquidfriend 1,151
Not happening. Tyrod Taylor is already the stopgap. They are taking Mayfield at 1 and selling off #4.
KC Warpaint 3,234
i read something really stupid that suggested the browns take a QB at 1 and 4 and let them fight it out..... like i said it is stupid , but so are the browns

They'll take whomever is left that they like of barkley, nelson or chubb... or sell the pick.
Balto 723
What about: #1: Barkley, RB #4: Chubb, DE Then trade all three 2nd + Duke Johnson to Denver for the #5 pick and draft your QB? Get best O weapon Get best D player Get 1 of the top 3 QBs
liquidfriend 1,151
It would take a hell lot more than that.

SEMO 6,811
no You serious, Clark? The jets swapped pick 6 for the colts pick 3 and added 3 more round 2s. Just to move up 3 spots.

That trade is within about 400 value points....So yes Jets overpaid This trade would be very close value: #33-580 #35-550 #64-270 Duke Johnson 3rd/4th round value Equals the #5 pick value
liquidfriend 1,151
You uh, gotta overpay when you're going in on a highly touted QB. I would figure by now this would be obv lol
xen 1,010,219
Yeah anytime a qb is on the line in the first you have to overpay. Them's the rules.
Mloe68 1,521
What Browns are doing bringing Hue Jackson back for one last try seems really silly when you draft a QB this early.
liquidfriend 1,151
I think Hue is already gone if it were up to Dorsey
Biggjliv4 1,292
Got to be tough for Dorsey to be a GM who's never gotten to interview and hire his own coach. Keeping Hue buys him a scapegoat if the Browns continue to Brown.
