Talking about the Stealers in the third person. About the 4th round QB the year before. “Did the Stealers screw up that pick?” How about did “we” screw up that pick?

We know he is a douche that throws his fellow players under the bus, but damn. I might trade his ass next year if anyone shows promise.

The guy is a total pro. 9ers even sent him to o Scout Kap. That’s how much they thought of him. He came back and told them Kap was the real deal and they should draft him.

Total pro.

Guess you can't get em all right.

Guess you can't get em all right.

Most QBs that are a "bust" in the NFL is normally due to being somewhat of a head case or because they are rushed into the spotlight and not due to lack of skills.

If Kap would have been tutored properly and given time to mature he probably would have been ok but with his thrust into the spotlight early and then being praised like he was followed up by falling in with the wrong crowd (those who wanted to use him for their agenda) he just naturally failed.

I would say that's not Smith's mistake but the 49ers organization.
