Four defensive starters didn't play including the two MLBs, but other guys have to step in a perform. The run defense looked worse than last year except of the undrafted FA out of Iowa. Also, the Chiefs better come up with another CB before the season starts. I'm less concerned about the lack of first team offense than about the inept first team defense. However, I just read that Eric Berry, didn’t play and neither did inside linebackers in Reggie Ragland and Anthony Hitchens. Now this may not sound like much but with this D it's a big deal. I could not tell from that clip if he made contact with the receiver or the ball first, but sure seemed like he didn’t get his head turned. I think he could be a sneaky sign if they man him up a lot. I like all three of our CBs better in man. Hard to do with no rush. Either Kpass or Speaks will develop I think. Probably not both and it’s anyone guess which one.
