Can't spell "Elite" without.....

Was there an elite QB on that list? I know you jest. But what do we have for elite QBs among the young guys. Nobody really stands out. I worry that we lost Peyton, and Brees and Rogers soon and their is really no one there to pick up the torch.

You have the Marriota, Winston, Goff, Cousins, Dak, Watson, etcectra, etcetra. No real rock stars under 35. I hope (as a homer) Mahomes. Maybe a dark horse here and there. But the QB talent pool is shallow.

After MNF,

Flacco is:

  1. 11th in Total Yards and YPG
  2. 16th in QB Rating
  3. Tied for 14th most interceptions
  4. In a 5 way tie for 11th in TD's
  5. 20th in YPA
  6. 21st in Completion%

Most of which were padded by the Bills game.

I guess that's elite.

He is the second best QB in the Baltimore/Washington area.  I’ll give him that.

Flacco is: updated

  1. 5th in Total Yards and 12th YPG
  2. 23rd in QB Rating ( 88.5 - CAREER IS 84.3)
  3. 22ND interceptions (4)
  4. In a 5 way tie for 15th in TD's
  5. 30th in YPA- meaningless stat
  6. 27th in Completion%

And has a record of 4-3 which is good for 3rd in the AFC North due to their shitty divisional record.

Yeah, because its not a team game at all.

1st three divisional games played withing the 1st 5 games of the season and on the road nonetheless.

And its, "Tied for second place" not third.

1 team in the division is under 500- and the Browns very easily could be at 5-2...

AFC North is a tough division every year.

So that means it was the 49ers abd Chiefs fault that Alex Smith didn't go to the SB, gotcha.

Umm, Joe has a ring and an MVP trophy from the Super Bowl

Alex has ticket stubs....

But wait, YOU said it's a team sport and YOU are quoting stats to support Flakeo.

Was it Smith's fault, both in SF and in KC, he had no less than two score leads going into the 4th quarter and special teams as well as the D failed to do their jobs?

Up by two scores against the Giants and SF returner muffed two kicks giving the Giants outstanding field position and eventually scoring on both drives.

Up big time to Indy and Tennessee at half and the D let both teams come back to win at the end of the game.

In all three games Smith played lights out but still lost. Vs Giants 495 yds, 5 TDs 0 Ints, 101 QB rating. Vs Indy 378 yds, 5 TDs 0 Ints, 119 QB rating. Vs Tennessee 264 yds, 2 TDs 0 Ints, 116 QB rating.

I too believe stats are BS and can be manipulated to prove someones point. I also believe wins and losses as well as SB Championships are the ultimate goal. However, I like everyone else believe it's a team sport and that most of the time SB MVP is the QB unless someone else actually has a huge impact. Also, in the past, the best QB did not always win the SB, again it's a team sport.

Because in that Post season run, Flacco put the team on his back and won. The year before, he had the game won, the kicker lost it. And in 2014 he had the game won, 2 14 pt leads in the 2nd half that the Defense gave up

Wait...did you come on here three weeks ago touting Baltimore as a complete team.  One of the most if not the most complete teams in the NFL.    Baltimore is a good football team but Flacco is an avg big armed qb.

I quoted an article written by someone else. I did not say it. I know they have flaws and they were exposed yesterday in that stinker of a game.

Hands,

Unfortunately, unless Joe Flacco gets traded, he will not win another SB.

Also, I would suggest that Flacco is a very good QB but not Elite.  He is unable to win without a solid supporting cast.

w

Never said he was Elite- i think all these lists and categories are bullshit....extension of stats, analytics that in the end don't matter for shit.

Playoff wins and Super Bowls matter.

and name one QB who won a SB without a solid supporting cast?
