The chances of finding a player that can have that kind of impact for the next 3 to 4 years in that draft position are pretty slim. This current regime doesn't seem to be able to draft defensive players that well so go after an elite proven commodity. Use the lowering the two 2nds we have between ours and LA. Rather have it a 4th though and the asking price will go down as the season goes along.

Rent a player for a high draft pick?

FANATIC 852
Earl Thomas - DB - Seahawks Seahawks FS Earl Thomas suffered a lower-leg injury and was carted off the field in Sunday's Week 4 game versus the Cardinals. Thomas suffered the injury to his lower-left leg on a touchdown pass to Chad Williams. The training staff immediately put his leg in a brace. Thomas has been playing through a contract dispute all season long in hopes of a long-term deal or a trade, but the injury appears to put a halt on either happening immediately. His return is doubtful.
Thegoatee 1,781
Sounds like a trip to the IR and entering free agency next year.
Chiefsfan1963 1,101
Lower fracture. He also flipped the bench off as he was carted off the field. Yea, I'd say he won't play another game fir the Seahawks.

He wanted an extension and now he will have to see what he can get for free agency. No way does he go back to Seattle.

Not that it matters now but you don't do the deal unless their was an extension in place. If he wouldn't have done an extension then no deal. He’s been paid 40 million by the Seahawks in this contract including 10.4 million this year to give his all as a player. There’s no excuse for his attitude in my opinion. This seems like karma. In the end he’s almost certainly headed for Dallas next year.
liquidfriend 1,151
Terez Paylor is saying the Chiefs were really close to getting the deal done for him. Seahawks look really stupid right now.
dksww 484
Sucks for everyone involved. The Seahawks shouldn't have had him playing if they were that close to a trade but they didn't want to give it away. They should've just had him suit up and not play.
