Former first round draft pick that was let go.. hmm 🤔. Reggie Ragland.. Cam Erving.. both high round draft picks that have been moderately successful as Chiefs. Veach taking another shot on one of these type players. Hope it works out.

If Yelder is cut he’s a tight end.

If Dieter or Kemp is gone then he’s a 5th option at Wr I guess.

Eh.  He's a guy on a min deal that has no guaranteed money at all and can be cut at will with no downside.

Pretty sure he knows if he works hard and shuts up he can rehab some of his image.

Yep.  No risk for a former 1st round pick 4 who also had a 7 catch, 2 TD day in the playoffs. He may practice for a week and get cut after getting into Andy’s portions on the buffet.  Or maybe he gets some goal line looks and helps us a little bit.

Benjamin has not been the same guy since his injury. Supposedly Buffalo was more upset with his effort as opposed to his actual production. I agree that this is some sort of insurance policy if Watkins foot isn't healing up. It's always something with this team.

Yeah when Peterman and Allen are throwing you the ball it's hard to muster up consistent effort. He may be rejuvenated here. Who wouldn't honestly?

Yeah but he gets paid millions to play and give effort. If he can find one reason not to try hard he can find a dozen. That's how it often goes with players who get labeled as a "low effort" guy.

Low risk high reward type of signing.   How does that work in regards to if he signs elsewhere?  If he comes in and looks better and then resigns elsewhere for a decent contract does that count towards comp picks in 2020?

Yup will count for us

Depth at WR who can play as the big man in the middle. If he works out we might even get a late comp. pick in the end. I'm expecting us to pile on those with Bailey, Conley, and now Benjamin set to become FAs. Who knows if Nelson doesn't stay around we might even have an early one in the mix.

Might simply be the end zone replacement for Harris as well. He's basically our go-to guy when it matters as opponents don't feel the need to cover him so needed an upgrade for the playoffs.

BTW who's released at this point?
